8vo. Two Volumes Complete. Bound in original full marbled (mottled) calf with gilt decorations on the spines and gilt border on the boards. Marbled end papers. The leather bindings have light corner and edge wear, minor flacking on the spines (now stabilized), and the front hinge of volume one is cracked, but holding strong. No previous owner's names or marks other than a small pencil note on the title pages noting that they are the first American, German English dictionary. A very slight damp stain along the edges of a few preliminary pages. A tight, square, very clean, attractive set with no foxing. The scarce first English-German, German-English American Dictionary.
