Marbled edges to text block and, internally, unblemished purple endpapers; browning/foxing to first blank, half-title and title page, the lastter with the first of several library stamps; 143 page text generally clean but the five plates (incliding frontis) foxed and one without tissue guard; 10 additional portaits at rear, only three of which are free from browning; two of them with stamps in margins.
