Charles Brittain is Associate Professor of Classics at Cornell University. He has written widely on ancient epistemology and ethics, particularly the Stoics, Sceptics, and Augustine. His book "Philo of Larissa: The last of the Academic Sceptics" is published by Oxford University Press.
Tad Brennan is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Yale University. His book "Ethics and Epistemology in Sextus Empiricus" is available from the Garland Press. Along with many journal articles, he has written for the Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy and the Cambridge Companion to Stoicism (Brad Inwood, ed.). His book on Stoic Ethics will be published by Oxford University Press in 2004, and his book on Plato's Republic will be published by Cambridge University Press after that date.
Brittain and Brennan are currently collaborating on a new translation of all of Epictetus' works for Cambridge University Press.
