Pages clean with some underling on pages 31-32, and notations to pages 129 and 383. Does not affect the reading of the text. Also tiny pen markings of inventory number and price to ffep and front pastedown. This book of 448 pages and over 1000 illustrations contains the complete motive power history of the Erie Railroad from 1840- to 1970. And a fascinating story it is, dominated by the disastrous decision to build the original road to a gauge of 6 feet. Added features include handy "steam class charts," all time Erie, Lackawanna, and EL diesel roster, color paintings, text by Fred Westing and the most stunning collection of photographs ever assembled of Erie's Power. Also included from previous owner is photograph of locomotive-Engine of the Civil War Period (Print), a map of the Erie Lackawanna Railway Company and an old postcard of the Erie Lackawanna 851.
