8vo., First Edition thus, contemporary signature on front free endpaper; original series de luxe binding of full maroon leatherette, upper board elaborately blocked and lettered in gilt to an art deco design, back gilt extra, gilt top, radial corners, pictorial endpapers, marker ribbon, a remarkably bright, clean copy. FIRST APPEARANCE IN EVERYMAN. The EL full leatherette binding (1906-c.1917) faithfully reflects the art deco movement of the period.
