About this Item

Our object has been to provide students amd [ractitioners with the essentials of modern surgery in as concise a form as possible, and also to produce a book which will be of practical use to students studying for the higher examinations. We have attemtped to show that in many diseases the clinical picture follows logically on the pathological changes, and without entering into detail controversy have indicated those lines along which still unsolved problems should be pursued. We do not consider that the details of operative treatment should be included in a textbook of clinical surgery. The nature of the treatment has been clearly stated, but no details of technique are included except in a few instances. Illustrated. 1126 pp. Slight foxing to end pages. Small mark to back cloth.
