Large 8vo. Pp. xvi, 243, followed by several page of ads germane to printing and supplies. Foreword by Martin Hardie. Title page vignette. Amply illustrated with many examples of historic genres and milieux, methods, subject matter, etc. Bibliography. Index. Bound in three-quarter blue cloth over decorated paper-covered boards, printed label on spine. Spine label chipped. Wear to extremities of cover. Former owner name, address and date (1942) on front pastedown. Rear free-endpaper with slight loss. Despite the detracting qualities, a sturdy, well-bound copy of this solid reference work. Published the year after the first edition, using the same sheets, with the added imprint of Dodd, Mead. From the technical aspects of printmaking to biographies and analyses of lauded (and less known) printmakers to the mounting and care of prints, the book is a handy reference for the student of print history. Includes reference to William Strang, one of our faves, along with the usual suspects and, happily, some obscure practitioners. …

Our store is located in downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood and is open seven days a week. In our on-going effort to provide a diversified inventory, we are acquiring fine and unusual books. From incunabula to 20th Century literature, from journals of voyages to autograph letters, no book or manuscript is beyond our purview. Orders from residents of Washington State subject to 10.1% sales tax.
All books are packed and shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Every book is professionally packaged in a heavy cardboard box and shipped via US Postal Service, fully insured. Shipping rates are $3.50 per book; an additional $1 for every book thereafter. Sets and oversized volumes might require additional postage – indication of such will be noted in the book description. Those orders ship at cost, as do international orders, for which shipping will be determined per sale. Other shipping modes are available per arrangement. Institutions will be billed per requirements.

Shipping terms
All books are shipped well-packed in cardboard boxes. Domestic US orders priced at $3.50 per order. Insurance for sales $75 and above included. International shipping expense is at cost, to be offered prior as a condition of sale -- buyer may choose to decline transaction if international shipping is too expensive, once that's determined.
