London: W.H. Allen, 1961. First UK Edition. Small octavo; [vi], 217pp. Photo-illustrated dust jacket with 13s 6d net price intact; bound in red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Jacket shows a few shallow, closed tears along edges and a few stray scuffs, with moderate to heavy toning and foxing to white panels. Boards lightly nudged at corners and spine ends; front board faintly bowed at fore-edge. Toning to front endpapers and a bit of foxing to edges of textblock. Opens easily between a few gatherings, but binding is secure. Pages unmarked. Basis for the 1963 film starring Pat Boone and Barbara Eden and adapted from Masterson's novel by Rod Serling.
