Wayne State University Press. Detroit. 1959. First edition, first printing. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Mustard-colored cloth is bright and clean. Previous owner's name and address on FFEP. Erased pencil price on FFEP. Super-rare DJ. DJ shows open chips along top edge on front, and two on back. Light chipping elsewhere. DJ has a couple of small ink spots. Despite the chipping, this DJ in any condition is attractive as they just don't exist. Small vintage Follet's bookstore price sticker on rear pastedown. The essays that make up this book were presented at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association, Chicago, on December 29, 1957. The symposium was organized by Dr. J.N.
