Ownership stamp of Alexander Sachs, Lithuanian-born American economist and banker who in 1939 delivered the Einstein-Szilárd letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt, in which it was suggested that nuclear research should be accelerated. In 1933, he served as organizer and chief of the economic research division of the National Recovery Administration.
