Exhibition held at the Acquavella Galleries, New York, October 15 to November 20, 1985, the Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C., December 14, 1985 to February 9, 1986. Near fine. Firm binding, clean inside copy. Light shelfwear to wraps. *** Features Post-Impressionist works from the early 1900s and Expressionist paintings (beginning around 1908 to World War One) by Feininger, before his crystalline cubist style. When Feininger left Germany in the mid-thirties, these paintings were left behind and became inaccessible after the war, held in East Germany. Richly illustrated with colour plates. Size: 4to.
