Near FINE condition. Papered boards, green cloth spine, lacking the dustjacket. The boards, content and spine are unmarred. Bright gold titling on spine. Embossed titling on cover. First American edition - scarce. Published the same day as the British Edition but in very small numbers. The publisher stated in 1921 that only 388 copies had sold. This play was turned down by Yeats to be produced in England until 1926, then returned to the stage in American in 1970. Joyce found greater success in novels, this being his only theatre work, therefore a scarce Joyce work in print. As such, very collectible. [Slocum & Calhoon A-15] [B243].
