Tall 8vo. 344 pp. Most of Tyndale's expositions were published 1530-1540 including the Epistles John, 1531, Matthew 1536, etc. Apart from his translations of the Scriptures, his most important works include, 'Briefe Declaration of the Sacraments' [1548], 'Obedience of a Christian Man' (1535), 'Parable of the Wycked Mammon' (1548). The Whole Works of W. Tydall, John Firth, and Doctor Barnes were published together in 1573. Original black, blind-stamped covers with the Parker Society crest and title on the spine, in clear gilt. Very good condition apart from some cracking down the front spine hinge, but binding is holding well. Contents clean, crisp and unmarked apart from 3 half lines underlined in the centre of the book. Overall, very good condition.
