Hardcover first edition, first printing. Not a book club, remainder or ex-library copy. Stated First Edition with original $6.50 price on jacket flap intact. Grey boards with a etch of flying saucer in red on front board. Interior drawings by Richard Cuffari. Closed, but jagged tear at top edge of spine panel near hinge. Moderate foxing to the top and side page block edges. Aside from these defects a straight, square copy and very scarce without the library stamps and markings usually found on copies of this book. Second of the Elana novels and sequel to Enchantress From the Stars (1970). Anatomy of Wonder (1987), 5-48. SF novel for teen readers and Young Adults about an extraterrestrial female agent sent to less advanced planets where her technology and science are seen as "magic" by the natives.
