268 pp, 8 1/4" H, blue cloth with gilt decoration/lettering on spine and boards by Arthur Rackham, top edge gilt, fore and bottom edges untrimmed, attached red ribbon bookmark. Colour frontispiece and 7 sepiatone plates by Lucy Kemp-Welch - all present and complete with original tissue guards. Endpapers and several b&w head and tail pieces by Arthur Rackham, with some by another hand (initials R.K.). A volume from Dent's Haddon Hall Library series. Chapter headings: The Best Pursuit of All; Fertility; The Improvement of Soils; Manuring; Corn Crops; Roots and Green Crops; Clovers and Grasses; Live-stock; Farm Horses; Cattle; Will It Pay?; Index. Some scattered small faint foxing marks on the endpapers and adjacent pages - also a few throughout the book. a slight separation between the page gatherings at page 1 - pages are held firmly in the binding, moderate browning to the fore-edge and the bottom of the text block, three very small corner bumps, a slight bump at the top of the rear hinge, wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spine, light to moderate edge wear, darkening to the spine but still very legible, very light rubbing on the boards.
