Additional material relating to the book is laid in, including statement by author of its limited publication of 1000 copies. CONDITION DESCRIPTION: VG condition with minor soiling and light rubbing on edges and spine ends. Interior is clean and tight. With clear mylar wrapper. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Very nice copy of a scarce Connecticut Regimental history, with additional material printed by the author in reference to this book's publication, pricing, and dissemination to members of the 6th Regiment, the State Library, and for his own use. The author had access to much material provided to him by the members of the regiment. It is in large part a compilation of diaries covering the encampments, marches, and movements of the regiment during its long service. The list of engagements is extensive and includes: Battle of Front Royal, First Battle of Winchester, Battle of Cedar Mountain, Second Battle of Bull Run, Chancellorsville Campaign, Battle of Chancellorsville, Battle of Gettysburg, the Atlanta Campaign, Battle of Resaca, Battle of Dallas, Battle of New Hope Church, Battle of Allatoona, Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, Battle of Peachtree Creek, and Sherman's March to the Sea, the Carolinas Campaign, Battle of Bentonville.
