Colour frontispiece of sea-trout flies for lochs, b/w photographs. Blue cloth, blind-ruled border to upper board, spine titled in gilt. Cloth faded as usual. Inscription / bookplate. Some browning but good. Opening with chapters on tackle and technique, including a section on worm fishing, the book then moves on to look at specific locations - Loch Earn, Loch Lubnaig, the lochs of the Trossachs, Lochs Voil and Doine, Glen Dochart, Loch Lyon, Moy and Laggan, Glengarry, Orkney, Mull, Harris, North Uist, Loch Lomond and Loch Awe. Concluding the book are two natural history essays entitled "What we know of the salmon" and "The Scottish seatrout." .
