First edition, first binding with "METROPOLITAN" at base of spine panel. Seventh book of the Mars series. Bleiler, Science-Fiction: The Early Years 310. Bleiler (1978), p. 35. Reginald 02281. Heins FMM-1. Just a bit of spotting to paste-downs, short hairline crack along inner rear hinge, but a tight, clean, very good copy in poor dust jacket with wear along top and bottom edges, shallow chipping at upper spine end and along top edge of rear panel, amateur patch-ins at lower right of front panel, some poorly executed re-coloring along top and fore-edge of front panel, and some internal tape.
