Presumed first edition (no direct statement but with single date upon copyright page). x, 102 pages. Hardcover. Lacks dust jacket. Blue cloth with some light mottling; light bumping/scuffing at spine ends and board corners; gilt stamping to spine and front board remains bright. Light toning to front endpapers caused by laid-in newspaper clipping from 1939; personal sextant-themed bookplate of St. Louis physician, naval historian, and author E. Lee Dorsett (Edward Lee Dorsett, 1883-1967) on front pastedown; a few spots of slight fingerprint soiling to interior pages which overall remain quite clean. Binding is firm.
