xii, [1], 526 pp.; octavo, original maroon cloth with gilt spine title. Review copy with letter dated April 27, 1939 from J. Chakravorti, Registrar, University of Calcutta, to the Editor of the Philosophical Review, Longmans, Green and Co., London offering the book for review at the request of the author. In spite of the statement "First Volume" on title page, no subsequent volume was ever published under this title. Ex libris American Academy of Asian Studies with ink stamp thus on title page, call number on spine covered by a blank library spine label, mimeographed label to front fixed endpaper, trace of label or pocket removed from rear endpaper, no other library markings, corners of front board bumped, else very good.

We utilize the $35.00 Priority Mail International flat-rate mailer (4 lbs maximum weight) when we can adequately protect the book within. Oversize books will in most cases cost a minimum of $50.00 to ship overseas. The ABE default shipping rates are based on orders for 1 book at a maximum weight of 2.2 pounds.
