Presumed first edition (no direct edition/printing statement provided but with matching dates upon title and copyright pages). xiv, 277 pages. Hardcover. Dust jacket has some scuffs at edges; slight fading to spine; toning/soiling to white rear panel; toning at flap edges; front flap is not price-clipped. Blue cloth. Darkened top edge; toning to fore-edge. Toning to endpapers; past owner's O'Casey family Mississippi and Ireland genealogical-themed bookplate affixed upon front pastedown; past owner's ink name stamps "Albert E. Casey, M.D." at tops of front free endpaper, title page, and rear pastedown; interior leaves otherwise remain clean. Binding is firm. This book was acquired from the estate of Birmingham, Alabama pathologist, bibliophile, and genealogist Dr. Albert Eugene Casey (1903-1982) who served as director of laboratories at Birmingham Baptist Hospitals from 1942-1972.
