The author's first book, which hinges on a single incident during the Battle of the Bulge. Wolff (1921-2019) served in the Army during World War II in Europe, where he was wounded in action. Later, he emerged as a groundbreaking television producer whose documentaries took viewers on a tour of the White House with Jacqueline Kennedy and awakened them to widespread hunger in America.
