A Familiar Introduction to the Study of Electricity by Joseph Priestley, 1769, second edition, 86pp followed by plates 2,3, an unnumbered plate [8], 6 and 7, five folding plates in all as called for in the preface, 2. An Introduction to Electricity by James Ferguson, 1770, 140pp, in six sections, with three folding plates as called for, published by W Strahan and T Cadell, and 3. An Essay on Electricity Containing a Series of Experiments by J B Becket, 1773, 151pp, published by the author in Bristol. inscribed on second free endpaper in ink "Engineers Library January 1862 No 6362" and on the title of the first work "Engineers Library G.P.O". Contents VG, a little browning and offsetting to plates. Bound in very worn full calf with boards detaching.

ALL ORDERS ARE MAILED IN PROPER CARDBOARD MAILERS OR LARGER CARTONS FOR MAXIMUM PROTECTION - we have never had a book damaged due to poor packging in over 30 years of mail order dealing and last year only one order out of over 11,000 went astray!
Standard UK orders are sent Royal Mail 48hrs delivery, more expensive items will be sent via tracked RM post or by courier.
Overseas orders go by fully tracked and insured Royal Mail airmail or by courier for larger or more expensive items - we do not send books by surface mail and cannot always mail bulkier orders to PO Box addresses. Heavy books will often require extra postage for overseas orders.
Books are normally mailed within 48hrs of confirmation of order.
Within the UK only any book may be returned at buyers expense within 14 days. Full refunds only given for books which are materially defective or significantly not as described. Any faults must be notified within 7 days of receipt. We do NOT normally note minor inscriptions, owners names etc., unless particularly significant or unsightly, nor do we note price clipped dustwrappers (other than on scarce 1st editions) and other trivia etc.
