7.5" x 5.25", 240 pp, illustrated, bound in original brown cloth with decoration in gilt and black. Spine slanted, light rubbing to corners and spine ends, previous owner's ink stamp on front flyleaf. Contents otherwise clean, binding sound. "Skill in the construction and use of simple labor-saving devices is of vast importance to the farmer.[This volume] abounds in valuable hints and suggestions for the easy and rapid construction of a large number of home-made contrivances within the reach of all.Every one of the two hundred and forty pages and two hundred twelve engravings traches a valuable lesson in rural economy" (Preface).
