Farm Measurements. A Practical Treatment of Problems in Mensuration

Hardback. First Edition. Burlington House Despatch Office Cambridge to inside covers and title page. Very slight mark to front cloth. Brown cloth with gilt lettering. The book as its title suggests, is intended to give a thorough and practical training in problems of mensuration arising during the course of farming operations. It is written mainly for students in agricultural colleges and schools, whether preparing for a recognised excamination or not, in the hope that it will lay the foundations for more advanced arithmetical work in other directions. That the practical side of farming has not been forgotten will be seen from the numerous examples and exercises having a direct bearing upon farm problems. It is hoped therefore that this book will be regarded by farmers as one which may be relied upon to give them assistance in those problems requiring accurate calculation rather than rough approximations for their satisfactory solution. Illustrations. 163 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).…
