Blue lettering to spine. Illustrated endpapers. Slight foxing to title page and book block edge. The dust jacket is unclipped; the book and jacket are clean and bright. Ding on the edge of back. Written in 1937, the year Tolkien published ‘The Hobbit’, the story describes the encounters between Farmer Giles and giants, talking dogs and a dragon. Set in a medieval version of Oxfordshire.
