The debut novel of one of the great writer/directors of modern cinema. A Fine copy in like dust jacket. The author, employed by Rolling Stone magazine, posed as a student and enrolled in high school at age 21. His experiences were the basis for Rolling Stones articles as well as this comedic, coming-of-age novel, from which the 1982 film was adapted. Now a cult classic, the movie had an all-star cast, including: Jenifer Jason Leigh, Brian Backer, Phoebe Cates, Robert Romanus, Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold, Nicolas Cage and Forest Whitaker, among others.
