About this Item

(viii), i - 436pp. Ex-library from Western State Hospital, Staunton, VA. The backstrip has been replaced and a paper label affixed (complete with typo). The boards are in great shape for nearly 180 years old. The interior hinges are starting to separate, but the backstrip repair has produced a solid book. The pages are clean, clear, and unbrowned, though some leaves in the middle missed the trimming knife and are still connected at the top. A small 1/2" brown stain affects the outer edge of the first few pages. There are library and discard stamps inside the front and back covers, and glue remains inside the back cover presumably from the library checkout card pocket. (50762).

Standard shipping in the U.S. will go by USPS Media Rate; faster shipping will go by USPS Priority Mail. The shipping costs are based on most books weighing 2 - 4 pounds (1 - 2 kg). International shipping will cost more, unfortunately. Large, heavy books may require additional postage, but we will try to avoid this if we can.

If feasible, dust jackets will be placed in protective sleeves before shipping. If you don't like the protective sleeve, they are easy to remove without harming the dust jacket. We ship books protected by bubble wrap in carefully-taped boxes, or - for smaller paperbacks - wrapped in cardboard inside a padded mailing envelope. For Priority Mail, we will usually box the book, then place the box inside a Priority Mail flat-rate envelope; most Priority Mail boxes are either too large or too small for individual books.

The "shipping times" are usually accurate, but delays can happen, as we have no influence on the national or international delivery industry! A tracking number for your package is available upon request.
