About this Item

This is a 5th impression in February,1956 of the First Edition of 1954. Bound in red cloth with title and author in gilt on the spine. Spine leans and is creased, but the binding is sound. Corners and spine caps are bumped and fraying. Tinted top edges have faded. Name of previous owner on the front paste-down. Gift inscription on verso of ffe. Otherwise, pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. The map is intact and in place. 423 pp. , 5.75" X 8.75" Please see all images. We have the two other volumes in the trilogy listed $650.00 each and the last image here shows all three.
