The b/w photo opposite page 35 shows a large gathering at the Frankburg church. (All that remains today of Frankburg is the cemetery.) Read more about : Mrs.Sarepta (Fox) Bechtel, Royal Bank, Farrow, Texas longhorns, Hillcrest district, Mazeppa, ice boats, and granite polisher. Lots of b/w (archive) photographs. Pages 30 and 31 show (cattle) brands prior to 1913. Cond : Boards are brown with gilt lettering on face. Cover graphic shows two horses pulling a single-bottom plough. Issued w/o dust jacket (??). Binding sound . Name of p/o ahead of title page. Light edge wear all around. No marks in text. Excellent hard-to-find local history reference. Quote (p. 288) : "._._. through Friday, ending with a parade through the business section of the town and concluding at Reita's Cafe, where Mrs. Archambault treated all the children to an ice-cream cone.
