F/C watercolour frontis man in pin stripe on beach by rocks attempting to net a sea creature sitting on a rock. 6 full page F/C watercolour illustrations. 2 tone thumbnail illus. on every page. 15 stories including: The Noo Zoo. The Lonely Blap. Who's Who? The Unnaturalist. A-Tishoo! Etc. Condition: 4.5cm tear in cloth spine top right. 1cm missing across bottom of spine. Spine, side, corner wear. 6 marks to front cover. Owner name neatly written in ink o/p bottom right. Original seller stamp o/p bottom right = Woolworth Exeter. P10, 11 small stain mark. P13 right corner slightly grubby. P15 original cut of paper on side a bit jagged. Minor tanning, age marks throughout. P95 smudge bottom right corner. P101 similar on right hand side of page. Overall apart from cover, book for its age in VGC. Little wear to pages. Binding firm. A rare lovely book, the stories/verses are fun & the illustrations wonderful. Postage combined on multi items.
