Light brown cloth, titles and rule stamped in black on the cover and between blind stamped panels on the spine: bookplate on front pastedown, binding tight and leaves crisp. In the three color illustrated dust jacket on yellow paper with price $2.00 intact on the back flap with publisher's "First Printing" medallion on the spine: spine darkened and head chips, edges rubbed. Irishman Byrne's final novel, a love story and an epic battle between Napoleon and Castlereagh. The handsome dust jacket, presenting a lion presiding over a Europe spotted with sickly red dots, is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve. Seller Inventory # 6287
