n.d. (1927). Publishers boards titled to upper cover. 46pp. A near very good book. Binding firm and intact. The final two leaves with brown rust-transfer staining to the gutter and margins. An interesting association copy of this scarce ephemeral field ledger, linking three major figures of 20th century botany. The title page features a contemporary pencil inscription: "A. Henry at Exbury, 25 June, 1927." This places the book in the hands of the legendary Irish sinologist and plant hunter Augustine Henry during a visit to Exbury Gardens, the renowned estate created by Lionel de Rothschild, who was one of the primary backers funding Kingdon Ward’s 1926 expedition to the frontier of Assam and the Burmese Oberland.
