Smaller octavo. Red cloth covered boards and spine with pea green lettering on both the spine and the front board. Book has a very light bumping at the head and tail of the spine and at the very tip of the upper front outside corner. Whtie endpapers. Previous owner's book plate on the free front endpaper. Previous owner's name and date written on the upper edge of the free front endpaper. Binding is straight and tight. Pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 319 pages. Green publisher's topstain. Dust Jacket - A previous owner has married this copy to a 1948 Burroughs dust jacket. Top 1 1/4" of the head of the spine is missing and there are 1/4" to 1/3" chips along the tail. 1/3" chip in the tip of each of the outside corners. Light rubbing all along the upper and lower edges of the jacket and around the outside edges. Some small closed tears in the upper and lower edges with light accompanying wrinkles.
