8vo, 362pp, illustrated; black cloth. A presentable copy of this early history of film, illustrated throughout with photographic stills. The dust jacket features a montage of film strips designed by the author; the endpapers are a dizzying op-art pattern well ahead of that postwar movement. Close to fine in a lightly chipped dust jacket with some closed tears to the spine.
