Financial resilience is a concept that is gaining importance in the context of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risk and can be considered from the perspective of any entity operating in the market economy, from households to local government units. Magdalena Zioło is a full professor of Finance at the University of Szczecin, Poland. Her research and teaching focus on finance, banking and sustainability. She is the author and editor of numerous books, mostly about financing sustainable development.

Bruno S. Sergi is a professor of Political Economy at the University of Messina in Italy and concurrently serves as an instructor at Harvard University in the United States.
