The transcript number, in order of telecast, was compiled and maintained by SECA commencing with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 1971 although the number does not appear in the issue. This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped at KQED-TV in San Francisco on January 14, 1974, and originally telecast on PBS on February 3, 1974. Hosted by William F. Buckley, Jr., the subject was "Mr. Buckley Defends His Four Reforms" (in welfare, taxation, education, and crime).
