Offered is Firing Line Program Transcript No. 97 published in 1973 by the Southern Educational Communications Association (SECA) out of Columbia, South Carolina. A left-stapled transcript measuring 5-3/4" by 8-1/2" and containing 24 pages including front and rear covers. The transcript number, in order of telecast, was compiled and maintained by SECA commencing with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 1971 although the number does not appear in the issue. This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped at KETC-TV in St. Louis on May 1, 1973, and originally telecast on PBS on July 8, 1973. The host was William F. Buckley, Jr.; the topic was "Legal Aspects of Abortion"; the guests were Harriet Fleischl Pilpel, lawyer, and John Noonan, Jr., Professor of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. The panelists, all from Washington University, were: Tad Foote, Acting Dean of Law School; Barbara Nolan, Associate Professor of English; and, Paul Smith, Director of Housing.
