Add to basketOriginal publisher's blue cloth binding with original glassine dust wrapper. 5 1/4" x 8." Three blue and white plates, complete. A beautiful book with a gilt decoration showing floral motifs and swirls on the front cover. Multiple blue and white border illustrations and gilt border decorations throughout the book. Top edge gilt. Blue and white illustrated endpapers. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Dust wrapper is chipped and torn, but the book is a fine copy. Richard Harding Davis (1864-1916) was an American author and journalist who wrote many works of fiction and drama. Davis worked as a war correspondent during the Spanish-American War, the Boer War (1899-1902), and World War I, and his writings also helped the political career of Theodore Roosevelt.
