Uncorrected proof, issued to book reviewers before publication of the first edition. 187 pp. Bound in publisher's tall greenish blue wraps lettered in black; Crane Duplicating Service stamp inside rear wrap. Near Fine with light wear and moderate toning to wraps, light soiling to textblock edges, and pencil traces to first page. Lightly foxed publisher's business card stapled to front wrap. A rare proof of the thriller that inspired the acclaimed 1982 action film Rambo: First Blood, starring Sylvester Stallone. The author's first novel, which has never been out of print.
