Beyond this not much more is known of R Barnard Way! His illustrations in this book have been 'assisted' by more independently minded and recent childish. The book is worn all about but maintains its character and determination. The covers are worn about the edges and corners. The cover is nostalgic and bright. The cloth spine is secure, worn and healthy. Inside, the title page has a light tear. The pages, despite the addition of colour by wax crayon to the illustrations, are clear, genial, playful, entertaining and certain. fk.
