The book has clean covers, clean 4cm long split in cloth top outside rear joint that has been very neatly stabilized with binder's glue (good work = crack no longer open and binding/spine not loose or deformed), no other restorations inside or outside book, large gift inscription on blank FFEP otherwise no owner marks or writing on any pages, some foxing mainly in the margins of a few pages, some tanning to some pages but not bad, solid binding (nothing loose), folding maps in nice shape, complete with all pages, plates, maps. The book measures 247mm tall x 177mm, and has 371 pages, 8 colored plates, 100 full-page & other illustrations (mostly b/w photos but several sketch-enhanced photos and sketches), 2 folding maps, index.
