Brown cloth on boards with gilt book plate on front and lettering to spine. Book is tight, square, particularly sharp-cornered and free of any markings or flaws inside and out. Fine. Many reproductions of Riverside Press productions from 1896 - 1912. Bruce Rogers worked at Houghton Mifflin's Riverside Press during those years. This history was taken directly from the archives of his letters. Included is an accounting of the Riverside Press Editions, as well as other special and limited editions. These books were made with handmade paper and the finest ink available. Included is a checklist of 102 books and ephemera that Rogers designed, including reproductions of the title pages of 36 works. Includes publication date, price, typeface and edition size.
