About this Item
A thorough history of this famous Building Society, from its humble beginnings to its success and rapid expansion in the years after WWII. The author is a specialist in writing books on financial institutions and money matters. There's a frontispiece portrait with a laid in tissue guard, ten black and white plates, and several appendices including a Roll of Honor and a list of Directors. Nicely produced book, printed by the Curwen Press, in blue cloth boards with gilt top edges. A near fine copy in a very good, complete dust jacket with very slight edgewear, internally strengthened chips to spine ends, and slightly browned spine panel. Seller Inventory # 002681
