About this Item

No Jacket. An old book from 1884, well worn, but still very solid and in good shape. Some pencil notes at the end, maybe the odd one inside? I would say Good condition. See the pics. "A long, long time ago, " as Don McLean sang, Mr.Nally introduced us to Latin and gave us our first book in the language, Scalae Primae/First Steps. A dead language, true, but oh so important as a foundation for other languages.

I am an old book reader and collector and over the course of my life I have acquired a good number of books. However, as the good book says, for everything there is a season. The time has come for me to cast away or say goodbye to my collection. The book community has developed standards for describing characteristics of books. For the most part, this method has worked well and I will do my best to adhere to it. However, it involves a degree of subjectivity and one person's "Fine" is another's "Very Good". Since a picture is worth a thousand words, or so they say, I will depend on images to support my words.
