Octavo; publisher's blue decorative cloth stamped in black; vii,[1],342pp.; halftone frontispiece and eleven leaves of plates by Claude Shepperson (collated complete). Moderate rubbing to cloth margins, spine toned, contents clean and sound. A Very Good example. Wells' yarn of space travel first serialized in The Strand Magazine accompanied by Shepperson's appealing illustrations. Hammond B7.
