Original owners bookplate on inside front cover, with the inserted prospectus both inscribed and signed by the editor. Illustrated with drawings of the authors by David Stone Martin (justifiably famous for his LP cover art), and with tipped-in reproductions of title pages. The text comprises reminiscences about the beginnings of their literary careers by 11 authors, including Robinson Jeffers, Jack London, William Saroyan, Mark Twain, Bret Harte and Mary Austin. Printed by Adrian Wilson in an edition of 475 copies, and quite handsome.
