First edition. 12mo. 72pp. Albumen photographic frontispiece portrait of the author. Brown fine grain cloth titled and decorated in gilt and blind. Pale yellow endpapers. Tiny light contemporary owner name ("C D. Brown, 1859"), a couple of faint spots on the boards, a couple of pencil notes in the text from an eyewitness to some of the text, near fine. Recitation of evangelical successes in Portland, with accounts of conversions among the locals. A very early photographic illustration in an American book.
