A scarce first edition copy of the Conway parish registers. Being a record of the rural deanery from 1541 to 1793. In a contemporary full vellum binding. Although this is stated as the first volume, this was all that was published. These records were printed with permission of Rev J P Lewis Vicar of Conway. The National Library of Wales note that only 300 copies of this work were printed. With a list of subscribers to the rear. Edited by Alice Hadley. This is an important record of the town of Conway in Wales. With a brief introduction giving a history of the town, followed by a list of vicars of Conway, the register, monumental inscriptions and an index of names. A very smart copy of this work. In a contemporary vellum binding with gilt stamping to the board and spine. Externally, very smart with handling marks to boards. Spine is discoloured as is common with vellum. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots to pages. Very Good Indeed.
