Add to basketAll three issues of The Five Arts, the arts and literary magazine founded by Walter P. Chrysler, Jr. and Nelson A. Rockefeller. Volumes One (April 1930), Two (May 1930), and Three (June 1980), all in hardback illustrated paper-covered boards. Subscription to the magazine was limited to the 300 numbered copies, of which all of these are number 6. Provenance unknown. All issues feature pages of ads in the rear, including an ad for The Co-Op, "Outfitters of Dartmouth Men", featuring an illustration by Rockwell Kent, and an ad for the newly completed Chrysler building. Boards of all three volumes are soiled and age-toned, with darkening to the unmarked spines. Heavy shelfwear and bumped corners to all, with large chip to head of spine of volume 1 resulting in near full loss. Boards of volume 1 have an upward bow. Interiors of all are age-toned with scattered soiling and foxing. Endpapers are unsigned but appear Rockwell Kent-esque. In generally good to good- condition, scarce as a set.
